Allen Iverson Out Indefinitely Due To Ill Daughter

This may very well be the end to the career of one of the greatest Sixers player . On another note, why didn’t he even come back? He should have retired before. Sports columnist, Stephen A. Smith  also had some interesting things to say pertaining to Iverson’s current state. I wish the best for his daughter.

Philadelphia 76ers guard Allen Iverson has left the team and is out indefinitely to spend time with his ill daughter. Iverson will miss at least the remaining three games of Philadelphia’s road trip. Iverson missed five games and the All-Star game to be with his family when the health issue surfaced earlier this month

Iverson has not disclosed what is ailing his 4-year-old daughter, Messiah. Sixers president Ed Stefanski says it was in the best interest of the team and Iverson to allow him time with his family to deal with a “very serious issue.”

Here’s what Iverson said about his ailing daugther.

You find out you’re not as tough as you thought you were when it’s one of your kids.”

Jennifer Lopez Splits With Sony Music/Epic Records

Say it ain’t so.  J. Lo fell on her butt and now she gets dropped by her label. Sheesh. According to Deadline.com, the singer/actress has parted ways with  Epic Records. Insiders claim the split was due to her singles not achieving much success on the charts,  and differences about her upcoming April album.  Check out what her manager Benny Medina said.

“Jennifer had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music group, and they have shared many successes together, but the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction her career as an actress and recording artist. She is grateful and appreciative to everyone Sony for all that they accomplished together.”

So what does that mean for her album or any music for that matter? Only time will tell.  As of right now, J.Lo has an upcoming movie, The Back-Up Plan, hitting theaters on April 23rd. Waste your money if you want to.

50 Cent To Slim Down For Football Role In New Film

Rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is officially turning in his microphone for the film roles has he has been announced to star in “Things Fall Apart”.  The film centers around a star football running back, played by Jackson, who faces a personal tragedy as well as his own mortality while in his senior year in college. Also set to star in the film are the likes of Mario Van Peebles, Lynn Whitfield, comedian Mike P and Steve Eastin.  Jackson is currently in the process of losing 65 pounds for the role.
